HELPING ALL
NEW YORKERS
PUT HEALTHY FOOD
ON THE TABLE.
Access to a choice of healthy food and benefits is not a privilege. It’s a right.

Since 1979, the West Side Campaign Against Hunger (WSCAH) has put dignity, community, and choice at the heart of our work both to serve people and improve the emergency food system.
Dignity
We consider the families and individuals who come to us for support as our customers, and we serve them with respect.
Learn MoreCommunity
We make no distinction among friends, customers, and colleagues who are all part of making healthy food easily accessible to everyone.
Learn MoreChoice
We believe everyone should have easy access to the food they want to eat, and that frontline pantries and soup kitchens should have the autonomy to choose how best to serve their communities.

In ProgressGive the Gift of a Happy Holiday
Oct 20 - Nov 30, 2025The holiday season is a time for gratitude, family, and giving back to our community. Sadly, not everyone has the means to enjoy a traditional healthy holiday meal. Together, we can change that. Help us serve 12,000 families with healthy foods for the holiday.
Upcoming EventVolunteerFest
Nov 21 - 22, 2025We know that there is high demand for meaningful volunteerism around the holidays, and VolunteerFest is our answer. From Friday, November 21st through Saturday November 22nd, WSCAH will host 24 hours of volunteerism packing and distributing healthy food to families in need. These opportunities include options for people ages 6 and up.
