Funding for Community Food Connection Program Saved!
Jul 22, 2024Thanks to our collective advocacy efforts across the emergency feeding network, funding for the Community Food Connection Program (CFC) will no longer be cut in half under the budget deal reached by NYC Mayor Eric Adams and the city council a few weeks ago. The $112 billion budget for this fiscal year will maintain full funding of CFC at roughly $57 million for the program, that supports 500 emergency food providers across the city. This will ensure that the more than one million New Yorkers facing food insecurity can continue to feed themselves and their families.
